چکیده
The creep behavior and microstructural evolution of three Al–Cu–Mg–Ag alloys with Cu content around its solid solubility limit in Al (5.65 wt %) were investigated at 180–240 °C applied stress 150–300 MPa. resistance aged alloy, which is mainly determined by the number density ? phase, best for 6.00 % Cu, better 5.30 worst 5.65 Cu. After solid-solution treatment, lowest matrix alloy observed due to existence more residual phases. It results phase following aging poor resistance. Increasing temperature from 180 240 same (225 MPa), steady rate increases 225 times, apparently larger than that (26 times) increasing 300 MPa (180 °C). indicates coarsening should be serious stress. mechanism can attributed dislocation climb threshold

Creep behavior of two Cu-2vol% TiC alloys obtained by reaction milling and extrusion
The creep behavior of two Cu-2 vol% TiC alloys prepared by reaction milling and extrusion are presented. Creep tests were performed at 773–1123 K. The activation energy values between 109 and 156 kJ/mol and the stress-exponent values between 3.1 and 6.3 indicated that no dispersion-strengthening effect occurred. & 2013 Elsevier B.V. متن کاملCreep behavior and in-depth microstructural characterization of dissimilar joints
The 700 °C power plants currently under development will utilize Ni-base alloys such as alloy 617 for components to be operated at temperatures >650 °C. Due to economic reasons for components or parts of components which are subjected to temperatures <650 °C, 2% Cr or 9-12% Cr steels is used, depending on the required mechanical properties. This makes the dissimilar joining of Ni-base alloys an...
متن کاملCreep Behavior of Al-Si Die-Cast Alloys
Commercial, aluminum die-cast alloys are subject to long-term stresses leading to viscoelastic material responses resulting in inefficient engine operation and failure. Constant load creep tests were conducted on aluminum die-casting alloys: B-390, eutectic Al-Si and a 17% Si-Al alloys. Rupture occurred in the primary creep regime, with the eutectic alloy having the longest times to failure. Pr...
متن کاملMicrostructural Evolution and Phase Formation in 2nd-Generation Refractory-Based High Entropy Alloys
Refractory-based high entropy alloys (HEAs) of the 2nd-generation type are new intensively-studied materials with a high potential for structural high-temperature applications. This paper presents investigation results on microstructural evolution and phase formation in as-cast and subsequently heat-treated HEAs at various temperature-time regimes. Microstructural examination was performed by m...
متن کاملMicrostructural evolution in Al–Cu–Fe quasicrystalline thin films
Transmission electron microscopy (TEM) was performed to study the microstructural evolution in Al–Cu–Fe quasicrystalline thin films. Thin films were grown by magnetron sputtering on sodium chloride crystals, which were subsequently dissolved in water to acquire free-standing films. Studies were conducted on the as-deposited sample, and samples that were annealed at 400 8C in Argon and 500 8C in...
